Heya!

I’m Nicole Trick Steinbach.

I coach women in the tech industry

just like you to build the skill of bravery

so that you stress less, work less,

and then earn more.

Today I am….

  • a certified, proven coach with over 10 years of coaching experience
  • an trusted, global organizational change management consultant
  • the host of Build Your Brave Career podcast, a top 10% global podcast
  • a business owner with five years of success.

But for many years….

I was an overworked, stressed out, and underpaid woman in tech with expertise in executive communications and change management.

On the outside I looked successful: traveling all over the world for my roles, earning more money than anyone I had ever known, working with some of the best people in the world to solve the biggest tech problems.

But on the inside I was suffering: exhausted, lonely, struggling to get work done, and convinced that’s just ‘how it is’ for all woman in tech.

I know what it is like to be

a woman in tech who
looks successful on the outside
and feels miserable on the inside

Because I believed the lie

that women in tech are just

stressed out, overworked,

forced to be twice as good,

and still underpaid.

In fact, I believed a lot of common lies about women in tech: ….

  • “I don’t deserve to be here. I’m not actually good enough and someone will find out. I have to work even harder.”
  • “I have to fit in stay in tech. Being quiet will protect me.”
  • “If I don’t do all this, I will be targeted for the next lay-off & I cannot get laid-off.”
  • “Everyone cries in the bathroom to get through the day. This is just how it is.”
  • “To get ahead I have to be always available, always on. Time off is dangerous.”
  • “It is either a career or a family. That’s how it is.”

To become a successful woman in tech,

I had to stop believing the lies

and start to uncover crucial truths

I wasn’t the problem:
I was being asked

to do too much

with too few resources.

I didn’t need to do more:
I needed to do

the right work with

more clarity and purpose.

I didn’t need to be always on:
I needed to work less,
sleep more, and get a hobby.

I didn’t need to hide who I am:

I needed to start being myself

…and ease up on everyone,

especially myself.

As I freed myself from the common lies and embraced the powerful truths,

I built an enjoyable, lucractive, and global career

as a woman in tech, including:

Working in over 25 countries, driving forward the most significant, global transformational programs with multiple-million USD budgets and hundreds of program members for a major software company as a Global Senior Director.

Relocating globally with my role, sponsored by the employer to the U.S. city of my choice to meet the needs and dreams of my family while  continuing to elevate my career and income.

Becoming one of the few hand-picked coaches to support Corporate Officers’ highest-potential, fastest-growing mentees, employees, and successors around the globe to build their interpersonal and leadership skills.

Training for and running half-marathons in various countries, stepping into volunteer board roles for causes that matter to me, traveling for pleasure to more than 10 countries,  and welcoming two children into my life.

But…..How?

I built the skill of bravery

I created a habit of clarity and learned to set clear, specific goals and share them with the people around me.

I built momentum by taking powerful, focused action in balance with feeling the feelings of discomfort and celebration.

I became deeply and consistently accountable to myself, who I want to become, and my goals and dreams.

Building the skill of bravery is the fastest, simplest way to become a successful woman in tech.

And there are a lot of very successful women in tech.
