Gratitude: this entire email is about gratitude. I know that every time I start to reflect on what and who I am grateful for, I am surprised and heart-warmed to discover (again) there is far more than I imagine.
Last week I shared about incredible growth patterns I’ve been creating for myself; this week I hope to remind you that life is 50-50.
You are BRAVE. Build your BRAVE to step into all the 50-50 – the enjoyable and the sucky – and make space for gratitude, however small.
Do you know what you want to feel grateful for? If not, stop reading this and start listing out loud or on paper what you can choose to be grateful for today.
Here are some of mine:
Fall is my absolute favorite time of the year and November is my favorite month. My favorite American holiday – US Thanksgiving! – is just around the corner. A celebration with no gifts and lots of resting? Yes, please.
My own birthday is just in a few weeks and I get to celebrate 41! and I. am. so. excited! Just this past week I noticed that my smile wrinkles are deeper and showing up more around my masks. Getting older feels especially miraculous following so many lost lives in the past two years alone.
The remarkable lady in the picture with me is my client Teodora (Dora) Szasz. She flew all the way to Colorado from Chicago just to celebrate her amazing success during her first coaching package with me.
We had so much to celebrate from our first coaching package.
- she invested in herself, her mindset, and her real-world results with a VIP coaching package and she just extended….so far her investment has returned many times over
- she created a recurring workshop with Google Public Sector that was marketed as “Join Dora and Google to explore the land of AI” with lightness and fun and connection
- she published an impactful paper with remarkable researchers with less stress and more joy called “What we teach about race and gender: representation in images and text in children’s books”
- she stepped up to drive significant change is how research’s culture shifts and becomes far more reproducible with her passion, leaving more of the stress-out behind
- she was profiled as an expert for on the Intel podcast Code Together
If you want to be like Dora, stepping more powerfully in your career with less stress and more clarity, reach out. I can help.
