Are you getting enough rest?
No matter how incredible you are, no matter how awesome you are, no matter how skilled you are, you have to take care of yourself. You have a potential beyond what you currently believe, we all do, and it requires rest and care to live into that potential. No matter what, and particularly when we are working globally across timezones and cultures.
Continuously learning and improving to get better results
What got you to where you are, will not get you to where you are going. As you grow and mature, as you have more skills and experience, you must be open to learning even more, shifting, tweaking, and (yes, even) pivoting for your new responsibilities and roles.
Taking shortcuts in life is not the answer
You are a unique, glorious being who is worth the investment, the consistency and the continuous growth. Are you committed? Do you have your regimen? Are you consistent? Are you learning? Are you growing? Are you getting better? And if the answers aren’t a clear frickin yes – if you aren’t or if you don’t – remember you are a cast iron pan and you decide. Now, of course you can take a shortcut. You’ll taste it. You will taste the difference. So I recommend that you don’t. I recommend that you pull it together and you let it go. That you jump into action and you step into reflection that you lean in and that you lean out. I suggest that you brave it up. And that you take care of your cast iron pan today and tomorrow.
