HIGHLIGHTS:
When a career choice isn’t what you expected it to be
A choice you made has turned into a mistake and you are unhappy. This is the moment when you are faced with a choice. A choice for yourself or a choice against yourself.
Stop spinning and start deciding
You need to stop spinning in the mistake – repeating “but they promised me this”, “oh, I can make this work” – make some decisions. Rather than complaining, working longer and harder, and “showing” them, step back and truly evaluate. Don’t build distrust in yourself, build up your own trust.
Check the facts and trust in yourself first
When you’ve made a mistake or the situation has become a mistake, you must evaluate what you want, what it is, and really acknowledge the gap. You must trust yourself first and then take action.
