This week I’m out to address a misconception I hear often: that you must know where you are going – what your goal is – before you can take any action.
That is just not true.
Not only is it not true, it is a-ok when you don’t know where you are going. As new as that may sound to some people, I know it to be very true.
I lived it.
I share my own story about not knowing where I am going in my latest Celebrate Brave Podcast.
I share how in 2013 I made a five year plan. Then life happened. How lost I felt in 2014 and 2015. As a result, in 2018, my life looked a hell of a lot different than that 2013 plan.
Then in 2018 and 2019 I felt lost and had no idea where I was going. I hated it.
Now in 2021 I can bravely say: THANK GOODNESS.
Maybe you are like me in 2014 and 2015 and you have an idea of what you want your life to look like. Or maybe you have no idea and it feels a bit like you are in a wilderness, like me in 2018 and 2019. Maybe life has happened and you’re not quite sure what is happening.
That is all a-okay.
You can build your BRAVE with clarity, momentum, and accountability and you can start today, right now, no matter what you do and do not know.
When have you moved forward even when you didn’t know exactly where you were going?
