I unexpectedly met Jeff Galloway, the godfather of the run-walk method. He has also my he-didnt-know-it-but-it-is-true running coach since 1995.
Following the run-walk-run method is how I got into and stayed into running.
🏃🏼♀️Running as a teenager on a cross-country team.
🏃♀️Running as a global consultant (in 25 countries).
🏃🏻♀️Running as a new mom x2.
🏃🏻♀️Running now into my 8th (?) half marathon
Yes. I cried. I was so joyful, I cried.
Jeff (he asked me to use his first name, so besties!) was patient, kind, encouraging, and made me feel seen and heard as a Runner.
Some people say one shouldn’t meet your role models. I absolutely disagree.
I’m so grateful for the times I have met my brave role models, also when not all of them ended up as fantastic as Jeff.
Who are you brave role models?
Have you gotten to meet one or two (or more)? What was it like?
