Nicole answers the number one question she gets, everywhere she does: Why coaching? ie, what’s the value of a coach? Why should a person have a coach?
A coach is your fast track to your goal, to where you want to be, who you want to be, what you want to achieve, with the least amount of effort, failure, and pain.
The experience of being coached, and the lessons from each coaching experience, never stop creating rewards and results for you. Nicole shares a personal experience of this truth.
Nicole describes in her own growth as a coach the power of internal corporate coaching and the limitation of corporate coaches. Internal corporation coaches coach you to be successful in that organisation; an independent coach supports you towards your growth and your transformation.
Long story, short: if you want to thrive and succeed as a woman in tech, coaching is the fast track to get there.

Coaching will elevate you to become a better version of yourself
A coach helps you see yourself as you are becoming. A coach sees your blind spots and works with you through them, into more clarity. A coach is a partner for transformation. A coach is a safe place to try out new behaviors, skills, mindset, and even for some coaches, new technical skills, new functional skills coaching, and a coach is the fastest way to build your growth and create the future you actually want. A coach believes for you before you are able to.
Invest in yourself by getting a coach
Coaching is a cheat code. It’s the fast track. It’s the investment that compounds over and over and over and over again. THAT is the value of coaching. That’s why. You need a coach, just like you need a mentor, just like you need a sponsor. You want to be exceptional. You do exceptional things. You need coaching.
An independent coach is there to support you, not the corporation you work for
A growing number of corporations have coaches internally. This is a good thing. Take advantage of them. Also know that those coaches (and Nicole was one of them!) are coaching you to be more successful in that corporation. An independent coach supports you towards your growth and your transformation far elevated above a specific corporation’s strategic goals.
