I don’t know who came up with that idea, but it’s not a good one, but you know what your goal is and you share it. Because you are the CEO of your career.

Choose the team around you to serve your vision, your growth, and your results. Your career board of directors better be full of the best people committed to your vision and you. Make sure they are in the right role too.

Stop making the mistake of letting other people create your career. That means, if you’re not getting paid, you stop working. Should a colleague steal your work, you speak up. You’re not getting supported and lifted you by the people around you? Fire them and shift …………yesterday.
